My Asian pears are just getting ripe, so I made up this recipe:
4 Asian pears, sliced
1/4 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
1 teaspoon ground dried candy caps
1 tablespoon honey or 2 tablespoons sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix all ingredients together. Put in a small, ovenproof dish, and bake for 1/2 hour. Serve plain, or with half and half, whipped cream or ice cream.
