Here it is, December, and I had a nice prince and two buttons in the yard, and candy caps everywhere! I made Agaricus Augustus Stroganoff (Wild Mushroom Cookbook page 168) for two (1/3 recipe), used sweet sherry for the white wine, doubled the sour cream, and added 1/2 cup of fresh minced candy caps. It was delicious! The candy caps gave it an extra richness and depth of flavor that really enhanced the prince.
