The recent rains, now, in Feb., have brought up some hedgehogs, and anise clitocybes. I've made Anise Clitocybe pudding for dessert several nights. Have gathered some candy caps, too, but not as many as I would hope for. --Alison
This has been the worst mushroom year I have ever seen! July rains brought early chanterelles, with a promise of a good mushroom year, but they dry warm and breezy weather in Sept., Oct., Nov., Dec., and Jan.(!) did not make good on that promise.

You also made those candied anise clitocybe which were amazing little flavor bursts in my mouth!
